2. Guest list
This is the part when couples generally start to come to disagreements. It is up to you as a couple, how many people you want to invite. Some couples prefer the idea of a small gathering, with only close family and best friends, whereas others like to invite everyone they know. Remember that your wedding is personal to you, so do things your way to make the day special for you both.
3. Set a date
You’ll get a good idea of available dates for marriage when you organise the ceremony and reception venue. However, it’s up to you during which season you want to get married. Summer tends to be the busiest time of year for weddings due to the better weather, so bear that in mind when you choose a date.
4. Type of wedding
Another major decision relating to your wedding should be the type of wedding you wish to have. If you are religious, you may wish to get married in a church, so you’ll have to speak to the vicar as soon as possible as churches get booked up fast during certain times of the year. Sometimes you will be required to attend a certain number of Sunday services to show your dedication to the church and prove that you are not just getting married there so that the wedding photos look good. Non-religious people generally get married in a registry office but it is also possible to be married in a hotel, on the beach, or at sea, as long as the person performing the ceremony is licensed to marry people.
5. Save the date

6. Bridal party
You’ll also have to make the decision about who is to be the chief bridesmaid, any other bridesmaids you wish to have (usually sisters and best friends), and your groom to be will have to choose his best man.

That way there will be no doubt as to who is invited and it adds a more personal touch.
