Summer is traditionally a favourite time of the year for brides and grooms to tie the knot, with many couples wanting the best chance of sunny weather and clear skies on their special day.
And it seems they’re not alone, as celebrities also love the summer months for their nuptials, from American comedy actresses to British reality TV stars.
Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook
For many people getting hitched over the weekend, they experienced much hotter weather than they had perhaps anticipated what with the UK being in the middle of an incredibly long heatwave.
However, Californian locals like Kaley Cuoco and her fiancé Karl Cook are used to warm weather and sunny climes, so no doubt they would have been very well prepared for sky high temperatures on their Big Day.
The Big Bang Theory actress announced her wedding on Instagram, posting a photo of her and her new professional equestrian husband in a stable with the caption ‘KCSQUARED 6-30-18’, referring to their identical initials.
The 32-year-old wore a stunning custom-made Reem Acra lace wedding gown with a matching floor-length cake before swapping it for a similar lace jumpsuit by Tadashi Shoji for the evening do.
While this isn’t the first wedding for Kaley – she was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting for 21 months – the actress looked like she was on cloud nine in the wedding photos she has already posted to her fans on social media.
Felicity Jones and Charles Guard
One actress who would have probably been concerned about the recent heatwave is 34-year-old Felicity Jones, who tied the knot with movie director Charles Guard in Gloucestershire over the weekend.
The couple, who have been together for three years, opted for a traditional English wedding, getting married at Sudeley Castle, the Daily Mail reported.
However, their guestlist was far from traditional with the famous pair inviting Tom Hanks and Jones’ co-star in The Theory of Everything Eddie Redmayne to their special day.
The bride wore a floor-length long-sleeved gown with a sheer high-necked overlay, while Guard chose a three-piece morning suit with a golden waistcoat and a sky blue tie for their beautiful country wedding.
Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor
Just a week earlier, Made In Chelsea reality TV stars Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor wed in a no-expensive spared ceremony.
The 28-year-old bride opted for a Kate Halfpenny wedding dress, which had detachable puffy sleeves, and was complemented by a full veil, while Taylor chose a tuxedo with a white suit jacket for the glamorous event.
Revealing their nuptials in Hello! magazine, the pair said the wedding felt like “an out-of-body experience” .
Millie and Taylor, 32, enjoyed a grand showbiz celebration at Whithurst Park in West Sussex, and invited the likes of models Jodie Kid and Poppy Delevigne, former Pussycat Doll star Ashley Roberts, and other Made In Chelsea co-stars, including Spencer Matthews, who was Hugo’s best man on the day.
